The Schools

Students of Richmond are served by Richmond Public Schools, which operates 25 elementary schools (including one charter school), seven middle schools, five high schools, and three speciality schools, with a total of nearly 24,000 students. The district’s Richmond Community and Richmond Open high schools have been named among the state’s top public high schools. The district also operates two regional Governor’s School programs.
